Day-by-Day Itinerary
Nairobi to Buffalo Springs National Reserve
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are met by our representative (or picked up from your Nairobi hotel), meet your driver-guide for a safari briefing and drive to Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Arrive, check in and have lunch at your camp, followed by afternoon game drives. You spend two nights at this luxury tented camp on an all-inclusive basis.
Full day in Buffalo Springs
Spend a full day in Buffalo Springs National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives; all meals are served at the camp. Samburu boasts a diverse array of wildlife, including rare northern species such as the gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Cheetahs, lions and leopards are found here too, along with around 450 bird species, including the lesser kestrel and the Taita falcon.
Buffalo Springs to Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive to Aberdare National Park with a game drive en route, arriving in time for check-in and a relaxing lunch. Enjoy afternoon game viewing from your lodge deck until sunset, followed by dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, check out and stop at Thomson's Falls in Nyahururu, then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a late lunch at your lodge. The lodge overlooks Lake Nakuru and its national park, a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers. Spend the afternoon at leisure with a game drive later in the day.
Lake Nakuru to the Maasai Mara
After breakfast, check out and depart for the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at Sarova Mara Game Camp. Spend the afternoon at leisure with a private game drive, then return to camp for dinner. You spend two nights here on a full-board basis.
Full day in the Maasai Mara
Spend a full day in the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Elephant and buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands impala and Thomson's gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena and jackal. The Mara is the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and hosts vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra from July to October. Lesser-known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, eland and many small mammals complete a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife. All meals and your overnight stay are at Sarova Mara Game Camp.
Maasai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive en route to a Maasai village, where you can experience the culture and traditions of the Maasai people, including traditional singing and dancing. Depart for Nairobi, arriving in time for a farewell lunch; your driver-guide drops you at your hotel in Nairobi.
