Day-by-Day Itinerary
Nairobi to Lake Naivasha
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are met by our representative (or picked up from your Nairobi hotel), meet your driver-guide for a safari briefing and drive to Lake Naivasha. Arrive for lunch, relax at your lodge, take an afternoon boat ride and visit Crescent Island for a walking safari. Return for dinner, then enjoy a night game drive in a 4x4 land cruiser in Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, before being dropped at your hotel for the night.
Lake Naivasha to the Maasai Mara
After breakfast, check out and depart for the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure with a private game drive, then return for dinner. You spend two nights here on a full-board basis.
Full day in the Maasai Mara
Spend a full day in the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Elephant and buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands impala and Thomson's gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena and jackal. The Mara is the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and hosts vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra from July to October. Lesser-known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, eland and many small mammals complete a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife. All meals and your overnight stay are at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge.
Maasai village visit and return to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive en route to a Maasai village visit. Then drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for a farewell lunch, and be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
